The First Cake I ever Made!

This was the first cake i ever made. It was about 4 1/2 years ago. This cake was for my best friends bridal shower that I helped throw for her. I always wanted a barbie cake as a little girl, so I thought it would be fun to try and make one. I cant even remember what the flavor was, but I am sure it tasted good. I had so much fun making this cake, that I decided to do more.

Wedding cake (Christmas)



I was finally able to make a wedding cake. I made this cake for a couple that was getting married around Christmas time. Instead of flowers they used cranberries. The cake topper is one that they brought to me. If it were up to me I would have chosen a larger cake for the size of the topper, but this is what the bride and groom wanted. The cake is a vanilla cake with a french cream filling. They wanted the cake to have a wood grain look to it so I brushed the frosting with a paint brush then covered it with the sugar crystals. The bride and groom loved their cake. I had so much fun with this one, and I cant wait to do more wedding cakes.
